On July 14, 2025, the Scholarship Award Ceremony for International Students, funded by the International Education and Research Exchange Fund for the fiscal year 2025, was conducted.
The scholarships are provided based on donations from companies and organizations supporting Tokushima University’s international exchange programs. The Tokushima University International Education and Research Exchange Fund supports international students enrolled in the faculties and graduate schools of Integrated Arts and Sciences, and Sciences and Technology, while the Fujii-Otsuka International Education and Research Exchange Fund extends its support to those enrolled in the faculties and graduate schools of Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy, and Bioscience and Bioindustry.
The ceremony was graced by esteemed representatives from donating companies and organizations, including NICHIA CORPORATION, The Awa Bank, Ltd., Nihon Funen Co., Ltd., Tokushima Zonta Club, Otsuka Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., and Otsuka Pharmaceutical Factory, Inc.
During the ceremony, Tokushima University President Dr. Kawamura awarded the certificates to the representative recipients. Mr. XIONG YITIAN from the Graduate School of Sciences and Technology for Innovation expressed his gratitude on behalf of the scholarship recipients of International Education and Research Exchange Fund. Similarly, Ms. LI JIAHUI from the Graduate School of Oral Sciences conveyed her appreciation representing the scholarship recipients of Fujii-Otsuka International Education and Research Exchange Fund.
The representatives from the donating companies and organizations offered motivational words, inspiring the international students to renew their commitment to their studies and research with greater determination and enthusiasm.
