Inter-Kafe Kuramoto (IKK) Event for Kuramoto Dormitory Residents

2024/10/30

On October 18, 2024, the International Office at Tokushima University hosted "Inter-Kafe Kuramoto" in the Kuramoto Dormitory lounge. The event was designed to create an opportunity for international and Japanese students living in the dormitory to connect and deepen mutual understanding. Six international students from China, Korea, and Vietnam, along with three Japanese students, took part in the event.

After introducing themselves, participants enjoyed casual conversations while sampling snacks from both Japan and abroad. One of the Chinese students also gave a demonstration and presentation on Chinese tea. In a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, everyone enjoyed conversing in both English and Japanese.

Kuramoto Dormitory houses international students, Japanese students, and staff, but opportunities for interaction are often limited. The International Office plans to continue organizing events like this, making the most of the dormitory’s mixed-residency environment to promote more meaningful exchanges.
