Tokushima University Students Participated in the “Tori-Ningen Contest 2024” for the Fourth Consecutive Year (the “Tori-Ningen” means the “Birdman.”)

2024/9/3

The Tori-Ningen Project of Tokushima University, in its seventh year since its establishment, participated in the “Tori-Ningen Contest 2024,” held on July 27th and 28th, 2024. This is the fourth consecutive year that the team has participated since their first appearance in 2021.

The participating aircraft's concept is "Spreading Tokushima's Charm to the Whole of Japan!" In addition to using indigo dye, which has been used since the first year, this year's aircraft, “Bamblue,” as the name suggests, is made from bamboo harvested from abandoned bamboo forests in Anan City, Tokushima Prefecture, to create a beautiful and flexible aircraft.

In order to show their appreciation for everyone's warm support, the students went into the Tori-Ningen Contest with the determination to set a new record this year.

The flights at the Tori-Ningen Contest will be broadcast on the following dates.

Please be sure to check it out.
