The ”4th SDGs Partnership Day: Ask Senior Female Scientists so called ”Rikejo”! Take on the Science Challenge” was hosted by the Organization for People of with Universities, in collaboration with Tokushima University's SDGs Promotion Committee and the AWA Support Center. This event was held at the Center for Community Engagement and Lifelong Learning of Tokushima University / the Future Center A.BA and approximately 50 people participated, including junior and senior high school students from Tokushima Prefecture and their families, related companies, teachers, and university students.
The event was held on July 21, 2024, and it included presentations on the activities of the AWA Support Center at Tokushima University, presentations on the research of female researchers, and reports on the activities of representatives of some students’ organizations established by female students at Tokushima University.
In addition, three women working for companies in Tokushima Prefecture spoke about their work and their own experiences. The junior and senior high school students in attendance asked many questions, leading to a lively exchange of opinions.
It is expected that the connections made through this event will lead to further progress in efforts to promote the SDGs.
