On July 30th, Tokushima University concluded the “Agreement on Tokushima University Regional Cooperation Program Promotion through the Corporate Version of Hometown Tax Program of Ishii Town” with Ishii Town.
This agreement aims for promoting the industrial development and regional revitalization of Ishii Town through leveraging the Grant of Tokushima University Regional Cooperation Program, making the research system fulfilling and developing of human resources of Tokushima University Faculty of Bioscience and Bioindustry which has farms and research facilities in Ishii Town and Bio-Innovation Research Center.
Regarding the Corporate Version of Hometown Tax Program established in April, 2016, the tax is deducted from the corporate tax when companies make a donation to the Regional Revitalization Program of Local Governments which have been placed as a Regional Revitalization Plan certified by Japan’s Government. In Ishii Town, the Regional Revitalization Program started in April, 2022 leveraging the Corporate Version of Hometown Tax Program.
Tokushima University and Ishii Town aim to contribute to the development of community as a whole leveraging the Corporate Version of Hometown Tax Program as part of the “Ishii Town: the Revitalization Promotion Program of the town, people and works.”
