On July 17th, 2024, Tokushima University concluded the Comprehensive Cooperation Agreement with the Tokushima Institute of Invention and Innovation which is a trustee institute of Tokushima Contractor in Charge of the INPIT Intellectual Property Comprehensive Help Desk of the National Center for Industrial Property Information and Training with the aim of revitalization of the economy of Tokushima Prefecture and promotion of the open innovation such as utilization of intellectual property cooperating with each other regarding intellectual property resources, support of start-up businesses, etc.

It is the first time among national public universities in Japan that such an above-mentioned agreement is concluded.

The revitalization of regional economy and regional development are expected a lot from this conclusion of the agreement.

(1) Consultation /Advice regarding intellectual property / legal procedures

(2) Consultation /Advice regarding evaluation of intellectual properties (hereinafter referred to as “seeds”) produced by Tokushima University

(3) Consultation / Advice regarding social implementation of seeds

(4) Consultation / Advice regarding business plans of start-up businesses originating from Tokushima University based on seeds.
