The International Exchange Party on Kuramoto Campus 2023 hosted by the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences was held on December 20th, Wednesday at the Kitchen SAKULA in the Kuramoto Kaikan. The Party has been held every year since 2005 except for three years from 2020 to 2022 due to the pandemic of the COVID-19. This year, it was held for the first time in four years since Japan was to downgrade the legal status of the COVID-19 to “Class 5” the same category as common infectious diseases such as seasonal influenza. 81 international students and their family members from 11 countries such as Malaysia, Vietnam, Mongolia, China, Bangladesh, Nepal, Brazil, Spain Philippines, Ethiopia and Japan participated in the Party.
The Party started with the opening remarks and toast by Professor Akaike Masashi, Dean of the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences. Participants enjoyed having pleasant talks with each other while having dinner and drinks. Performances such as singing songs and playing musical instruments by international students and their family members including Vietnam, Bangladesh and Japan were held.
