On August 2, President Shi Weidong, Dean of School of Mechanical Engineering Dr. Zhu Yu, Dean of School of Medicine (School of Nursing) Dr. Shi Yaqin, Dean of School of Foreign Studies Dr. Lu Guojun, and Vice Dean of Graduate School Dr. Liu Hongmei from Nantong University paid a courtesy visit to the President of Tokushima University.
��Tokushima University and Nantong University signed an academic exchange agreement in 1996 with Nantong Medical College, the predecessor of the current Nantong University. After its reorganization as Nantong University, the two universities concluded an academic exchange agreement in 2005. Since then, there have been continuous visits by board members and researchers to each other's universities.
��In addition, a double degree program was concluded with the Faculty of Engineering (now the Faculty of Science and Technology) in September 2015, and both universities have sent and received many students, and student exchange has been active.
��First, President Kawamura Yasuhiko gave a welcoming speech, and then President Shi Zedong of Nantong University expressed his gratitude for the past exchanges. President Shi expressed his desire to further deepen exchanges in many areas in the future, which was agreed upon by the President Kawamura.
��Tokushima University and Nantong University have already been active in student exchange, and it is expected that faculty exchange will become more active to further deepen exchange in a wider range of fields.
