[Important]Guidelines for Student Conduct and Extracurricular Activities
Student life and extracurricular activities will be subject to this guideline in the future. All the students are remined of their responsibilities as students of Tokushima University and requested to act accordingly. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation. We will be alert to the status of outbreak, and review the measures accordingly.
Please try to prevent infections, such as refraining from moving to other prefectures during the long holiday period.
1. Target period: Until 20 May 2020 (Wed.)
2. Safety Precautions
- (1)About prevention of infections
For prevention of infection, do not move out of the prefecture and refrain from going out unless necessary until Wednesday, May 20. Avoid thoroughly the "Three Cs" (Closed spaces,Crowded places,Close-contact settings). Take measures related to health management (temperature measurement etc.) - (2)About moving out of the prefecture
If you must move outside the prefecture, be sure to contact the faculty office. If you move outside of the Tokushima prefecture by May 20 (Wednesday), regardless of the reason, you have to isolate yourself at home upon your return to Tokushima prefecture for 14 days. Please note that during this time you have to closely monitor your physical condition. - (3)About working part-time
Please refrain from part-time jobs that are considered to be problematic in terms of infection prevention, such as being unable to avoid the "Three Cs" (Closed spaces,Crowded places,Close-contact settings) and being instructed not to wear a mask.
The Student Support Association has a "student safe" system for financial support of students. It is a system where you can receive a loan of 100,000 yen (maximum) without interest. - (4)About meeting people
Please refrain from participating in welcome parties for new students and drinking parties with multiple people regardless of whether these parties are in restaurants or at home. - (5)About overseas travel
Please refrain from traveling overseas privately. If you return from abroad, you will be required of 14 days of self-isolation and observation of your physical condition.
3. Notes on extracurricular activities
- (1) Meetings and activities in groups are prohibited, both indoors and outdoors. Group activities and practicing are also prohibited. However, individual exercises for maintaining health is permitted.
- (2) About events, etc.
- ① Events hosted by student groups (regardless of whether they are official or informal) are required to be cancelled, which include sport matches, tournaments, concerts, live shows, training camps, expeditions. Please do not organize event that involve outsiders of the university.
- ② Contests and events hosted by other organizations Please refrain from participating in tournaments and events organized by other organizations.
- (3) About New student recruitment activities and welcome events, etc. Activities sponsored by student groups, indoors and outdoors, are prohibited. This includes the distribution of flyers. You may produce posters, but if you want to distribute video material you have to contact the Student Support Division in advance.
- (4) Use of facilities for extracurricular activities The use of all facilities for extracurricular activities (student hall, gymnasium, extracurricular activities building) are prohibited. You can use the general ground for individual training for maintaining health after taking precautions for infection control, but the use of club rooms and training rooms is not allowed.
- (5) About rental of equipment There is no rental of sports equipment items.
